Hi, I'm Rod, a woodworker based in beautiful Nova Scotia with a passion for creating handcrafted pieces that are both functional and timeless.
What began as a hobby quickly grew into a deep appreciation for the craft. I work primarily with locally sourced and specialty hardwoods, carefully selected for their natural beauty and durability. Whether it's a cutting board, crib board, chess set, or a custom charcuterie tray, every item is made with precision, care, and an eye for detail.
I believe that handcrafted work should tell a story, one that reflects the character of the wood and the hands that shaped it. Each piece is sanded smooth, finished with food-safe oils or durable coatings, and built to last for generations.

Custom Walnut & Purple Epoxy Charcuterie Tray – Handmade in Nova Scotia This one-of-a-kind serving tray is truly a showstopper. Crafted by hand right here in Nova Scotia, it features a stunning combination of rich walnut and vibrant purple epoxy, accented with sleek black handles and small rubber feet. Handmade Chessboard – Birdseye Maple, Walnut & Padauk Inlay
Crafted by hand right here in Nova Scotia, this one-of-a-kind chessboard blends elegance with function. Made from Birdseye Maple and Walnut, with a striking Padauk inlay and border for a bold, refined look.
The top lifts open to reveal a green felt-lined storage compartment, complete with a custom Padauk piece holder with room for extra pieces or even checkers. 2" squares tournament standard size.
The base is built from solid Walnut, offering durability and timeless appeal.
Comes with a full set of chess pieces, so you're ready to play right away.

Each of my cutting boards is meticulously handcrafted in Nova Scotia, showcasing the natural beauty and character of premium hardwoods. Crafted using edge grain construction for both elegance and durability, every board is sanded to an exceptionally smooth finish.
I treat each piece with food-grade mineral oil and finish it with a rich blend of beeswax and mineral oil handmade in-house—to enhance the grain and provide lasting protection.
They include rubber feet. Custom engraving and juice groves can be added for an extra cost.

End grain boards are gentler on your knives and even "self-heal" over time, making them ideal for daily use and built to last for generations.
Every board is sanded to a smooth, luxurious finish you can feel the moment you pick it up. I treat each piece with food-safe mineral oil, then finish it with my own handmade beeswax blend to protect the wood and highlight its natural beauty.
